Who I am
Hello!
Elissa discovered Kundalini Yoga in 2016 during a pivotal time in her life. As she navigated the end of a long-term relationship, the practice became a pathway for healing, bringing awareness to unresolved grief from the unexpected loss of her mother when she was 15 years old. Through Kundalini Yoga, Elissa found a space to reconnect with herself, cultivate resilience and began a deeper journey of healing.
Along this path, Elissa was introduced to Reiki. After experiencing a profound sense of release and lightness during her first Reiki session, she felt called to study the practice more deeply.
Elissa began her Reiki training in 2019 and has continued to expand her knowledge and experience over the years. She became a certified Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Practitioner in 2019, a Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master in 2020, and a Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki Master in 2026.
In addition to her work in Reiki, Elissa is a dedicated public school educator with more than 20 years of experience. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education and has spent her career creating inclusive, supportive environments where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow.
As a mother of two, she brings patience, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the many seasons of life into both her teaching and healing practices. Elissa believes that each person possesses an innate capacity for healing and wisdom. Inspired by Glinda’s timeless words, “You’ve always had the power, my dear. You just had to learn it for yourself.”
She views Reiki and yoga as gentle yet powerful practices that help people reconnect with their bodies, trust their inner guidance, and awaken their natural ability to heal. Elissa creates a compassionate, supportive space where individuals are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and embrace their own unique healing journey.
